ARTHRITIS
What is Arthritis?
Arthritis is the swelling and inflammation of one or more joints, causing pain, stiffness, and difficulty moving that often worsens with age. There are several different types of arthritis, each with their own causes, including autoimmune disorders and other underlying diseases, infections, and normal wear and tear that comes with age. Common symptoms associated with arthritis include stiff joints, pain, reduced range of motion, and swelling.
Treating Arthritis
Just like in humans, arthritis can be a painful condition for pets. Thankfully, there are various different forms of therapy to help alleviate arthritis-associated pain, as well as help rebuild joint and cartilage strength. The adjunct use of routine laser therapy combined with pain medications and nutraceuticals has given us tremendous results for our arthritic patients.
